This is a specialty service provided in office and only takes about 10-15 minutes. Bioidentical Hormones are the same chemical structure as the hormones that humans naturally produce and our Pellets are plant-based and are smaller than the size of a tic-tac. After your initial two visits (comprehensive consultation and follow-up visit), you may benefit from Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Pellet Therapy. Pellets are inserted by our licensed Nurse Practitioner under the skin near the hip through a small, in-office procedure. Unlike other forms of hormones including pills, injections, and creams, the hormone pellets will create stable levels that do not fluctuate up and down. They are made from yams and stearic acid which is a natural compound made by the body and dissolves as the hormone dissolves.
